Why Vibration

The introduction of lightweight vibratory rollers in 1991 changed greens rolling forever. The True-Surface® Vibratory Greens Rolling System operates on a totally different principal than the heavy "dead-weight" rollers used in the past.

True-Surface provides three separate units that follow the contours of the greens accurately just the same as your mowing units. No one would ever mow greens with a 3' wide cylinder mower, so why roll with 3' wide rigid rollers?

To understand how these vibratory rollers work, visualize a fresh delivery of nice sandy root zone in your yard. Take a handful of it and place it in a mound of the middle of a tea tray. Now imagine that mound represents a bump in your greens that you want to smooth out. How would you do it?

You could either press it down with the palm of your hand - representing how the "dead-weight" roller works -- or you could gently shake the tea tray and watch it settle out level. The True-Surface® Vibratory Rolling System works like the vibrating tea tray. It gently and effectively produces high frequency, minimal weight vibrations.
